APC Lagos LG Election Primaries: Odumbaku, Hamzat Win As Unlikely Candidates Emerges

Usman Akanbi Hamzat has emerged as the All Progressives Congress, APC, Candidate for Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Chairmanship Election.

Hamzat who is the incumbent Executive Chairman of Ifako Ijaiye alongside Odumbaku, Son of Cardinal Odumbaku, popular as Baba Eto,  APC Stalwart have emerged the Party’s Candidate for Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the forthcoming local governments election slated for July 12th, 2025.

In addition to these returning figures, Akinola Abiodun has emerged as the party’s flagbearer for the Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

Similarly, Taiwo Oyekan has been elected to represent the APC in the Lagos Island Local Government, showcasing a mix of experienced and fresh candidates.

Other notable candidates who have clinched their party tickets include Semiat Bada for Ikosi-Isheri, Ogidan Azeez for Coker Aguda LCDA, and Tola Oyedele for Agboyi-Ketu LCDA. Additionally, Akinpelu Ibrahim is set to represent Alimosho LGA, while Jimoh Olawale will carry the APC banner in Apapa-Iganmu.

This diverse lineup of candidates reflects the party’s strategic approach to galvanising support across various constituencies in the lead-up to the election.
