The Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Bello, is in pains.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, Governor, who is married to the first daughter of former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, rtd, has lost his younger brother, Aminu Bello, to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Aminu defected to the PDP, with a sizeable number of other APC members.
His defection is viewed, by many, as a vote of no confidence in his brother’s administration.
Noted the PDP Kontagora Central Ward Chairman, Umar Hassan, while welcoming them: “It is only a matter of time for those in the APC to realise the non-performance of the Government and start to move to the PDP.
“The incompetence, clueless essence and ineptitude of the APC is enough reason for their members to leave the Party.”
Niger State is one of the Northern States where insecurity is on a high.
