Anglican Archbishop Okpala, Driver Freed From Kidnappers Den

The Kidnapped Anglican Archbishop, His Grace, The Rt. Rev. Prof. Godwin Okpala has regained freedom alongside his driver after over one month in kidnappers’ den.

Confirmimg his freedom in a post on his Facebook page Thursday morning, the clergyman simply wrote: “Praise the Lord!”

Hundreds of reactions have trailed the release of the Cleric with all joining in thanking God for his freedom.

Okpala, a retired Archbishop of the Niger Province and Bishop of Nnewi, was released one month after he was abducted.

He went missing on his way to Umuchu, a community in Anambra State for a burial ceremony.

Though details of his release still remain sketchy, but it is being celebrated on various social media platforms of the Anglican Communion.
