Anambra State PDP Gov. Candidate Shot In Abuja

The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party’s in the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election, has been shot in Abuja.

Chief Jude Ezenwafor was shot Friday night around Wuse 2 Area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, by hoodlums who accosted him as he was returning to his house from a meeting.

Luckily for him,  the bullets of the assassins stopped short of killing him. He survived. However he has some bullets lodged in his body for which medical doctors would extract through surgery.

Ezenwafor is currently in a private hospital in Abuja where he is billed to undergo the surgery.

Speaking to Journalists Saturday morning from the hospital in a very weak voice, he said:

“I’m currently in the hospital. The doctors are making efforts to operate me so that they can pull out bullets from my body.”

According to reports, two other people in the car with him were, also, shot.

It is not known if the attempt on the life of the PDP Candidate is political or a random attack. There has been no statement from the Police or the PDP.

The Anambra Governorship Election is scheduled for November 2025.

Ezenwafor will slug it out with, among others, the incumbent Governor of the State, Professor Charles Soludo.
