Anambra Decides: LP Candidate, Moghalu, Loses Polling Unit

George Moghalu, the Labour Party Candidate in the Anambra State Governorship election has lost his Polling Unit.

He lost it to the incumbent Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo,  in the election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Moghalu voted by 11.40 am at his Uruagu Ward 1 in Nnewi North Local Government Area where he, also, complained about vote-buying after voting.

Ebere Okonkwo, the Presiding Officer at the Polling Unit, announced the results at about 2.50pm at the end of voting.

George Moghalu received 22 votes, the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nicholas Ukachukwu, received only five votes, while Soludo who won the Polling Unit scored 57 votes.

The total number of registered votes for the Polling Unit is 463, out of which 85 voters, only, voted.
