Anambra: Assembly Majority Leader, Okafor, Slumps In Hotel Room, Dies

Death has again hit the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Honourable Nnamdi Okafor, its Majority Leader  is dead.

Okafor, reportedly,  died in a hotel room in South Africa, after he suddenly slumped.

He and a number of his colleagues had gone to South Africa for a legislative retreat when death suddenly called on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

The details of his passing are still sketchy as nobody has confirmed, yet, whether he was ill before the trip, or suddenly took ill there.

There is no official statement, for now, either from the Anambra State House of Assembly or the State Government.

Until his passing, Okafor was the representative of Awka 1 State Constituency in the Assembly.
