His burial arrangements ,will be unveiled later by his family and Government.

The Source reports that  late Comrade Onwuma was a known organized labour leader in Abia State until his death

He was appointed the pioneer Commissioner for Labour and Productivity in the last quarter of 2024.

His coming on board was a direct consequence of the decision of Governor Alex Otti to create a Ministry for Labour for the purpose of a seamless interface and synergy with the State’s Organized Labour.

The creation of the Ministry, was similarly a product of a communication gap between the Government and Organized Labour in Abia which led to series of avoidable  disagreements and open confrontations particularly in the wake of  negotiations for the implementation of the N 35,000 wage award and N 70,000 minimum wage.
