Four female students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja that were abducted few days before Christmas celebration, have regained their freedom.
The four students were abducted along the Akunnu-Ajowa road in Akoko area of Ondo state, on December 23.

The students were said to be returning home for the yuletide before they were attacked at Ago jinadu axis, an area noted for criminal activities, especially kidnapping.
A former Majority Leader in Akoko northwest local government Soji Ogedengbe confirmed the release of the students.
According to him, an undisclosed amount of money was paid as ransom to the abductors.
