Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Spokesman, Doyin Okupe, has once again made his intention to throw his hat in the ring for the 2023 Presidential contest, public.

The aide to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan stated that all the criteria listed  by the former military leader fit his profile perfectly.

IBB had said in the interview that the next President, come 2023, must be in his 60s.

“IBB must have had me in mind when he was reeling out the qualities for the next Nigerian president.

“I believe when IBB was making that speech, he was talking about me. I haven’t spoken with him in a long time, I agree with all his points.

“I am part of the three individuals IBB was talking about. I am the most prepared person for the job. There is nowhere in the country I don’t have contact,” Okupe said.

The Physician cum Politician was recently in the news months back following the declaration of his son, Bolu Okupe, who reeled out his sexual preference a gay.

As the social media was awash with his son’s declaration, he said the presence of his Son in the gay community was for a godly mission.

It would be recalled that the Senior Okupe declared that his Son is on a sojourn in the LGBT community in order to be an instrument of God to them. “By the grace of God, that is what is going to happen”, he said.

In the interview, without mentioning names, IBB had ruled out both former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and APC Chieftain, Bola Tinubu as Presidential materials in 2023. Both are in their 70s.
