An Aide to Senator Ajayi Borofice, the Senator representing Ondo North in the red chamber has dumped him and made a case against his reelection during next year’s election.
Mr Tolu Babaleye, who was Director General Campaign Organisation of Senator Boroffice, described the 12 years of the Senator as the worst thing to happen to the Northern Senatorial District of Ondo State.
Babaleye made the submission while featuring on a current Affairs program on an Akure based radio station, Adaba FM on Monday.
He said the Senatorial District which comprises of four Akoko Local Governments, Owo and Ose Local Government Areas, have gone backward in all ramifications since the 12 years of Senator Boroffice in the National Assembly.
The Human Rights lawyer said Senator Boroffice has no empowerment project for the people since he was given the mandate 12years ago and has disconnected totally from the electorate that gave him the mandate.
He challenged the Senate Leader to mention any physical project he has completed since he became a senator, noting that the district has been visited by insecurity, bad road network, which has led to lost of many lives especially in the local government area where Senator Boroffice hails from.
Mr Babaleye also stated that Senator Boroffice failed to secure employment opportunities in federal ministries, Parastatals and agencies for the unemployed youths as evident in other Senatorial districts.
According to him, the people are particularly angry with Senator Boroffice for taking the appointments opportunities which would have been of benefit to them to Akure and Osun states.
Babaleye, who has now switch his allegiance to other aspirant said his fallout with Senator Boroffice is not about personal grudges or gains, but the development of Ondo North Senatorial district and uplifting the lives of the people.
He advised that another aspirant should be allowed to represent the area to provide the much awaited difference and the people will enjoy the dividends of democracy.
The former DG of Boroffice campaign organisation said the people of Ondo North, especially the Akokos, are ready to change the narrative after 12 years of Boroffice stay in the Senate and support another vibrant representative that will meet the People’s yearnings and aspirations.
